Since 1978 takes care about children in hospital

Every day 5,000 ABIO volunteers offer their help to children and adolescents who are in hospital in order to make them overcome the impact with pain and with environmental change. ABIO volunteers involve children in many activities such as playing, card games, reading, drawing, but they also help parents by listening to their worries, giving information about hospital, taking care about children when needed.

Our words

• TRAINING
  To make volunteer service as effective as possible, we organize obligatory courses for those who want to become a volunteer and other training for the ones who are already in service.
• COLOURS
  Children need colors, also in hospital. They need game rooms, to socialize and to make their stay in hospital less traumatic. We realize many projects with the purpose to make in hospital colored rooms, corridors, game rooms. We also provide games and books.
• RIGHTS
  We promote campaigns to raise the awareness on the rights of children and adolescents in hospital.
