Coca-Cola HBC Italia wins the 2011 DM Awards as the best FMCG company Internet Site
Thousands of votes make the web site www.coca-colahellenic.it an acknowledged success
Milan, November the 23rd, 2011 – The Coca-Cola HBC Italia website won the coveted DM Awards prize reserved for the fast moving consumer goods companies sector, taking first prize at the prizegiving last night in Milan (www.coca-colahellenic.it).
Based on three assessment criteria (Design, Content, Interaction) the prize, created by the online newspaper Distribuzione Moderna, invites web users to vote on the best internet sites of mass consumer manufacturing industries or distribution companies every year. The active involvement of internet users in the choice of their favorite web site means that the winners are selected directly by consumers in “2.0 mode”, not by a jury.
Alessandro Magnoni, Communication and External Relations Director of Coca-Cola HBC Italia, made this comment on the results of the competition: “We’re very happy to have obtained this important award that recognises Coca-Cola HBC Italia’s commitment to online communication. Our company is a great believer in internet, a medium that is becoming increasingly important in the consumer marketing and communication strategies of our sector”.
This is why the company has also chosen to publish its Socio-Environmental Report only on internet this year. With the creation of a new ad hoc section based on the immediate and effective language of infographics and increasingly frequent use of the web, Coca-Cola HBC Italia can provide information that is more and more transparent, clear, complete and sustainable, further proof of its responsibility and coherence, in-line with its own business philosophy.
In the last few months, the Coca-Cola HBC Italia internet site has carried out numerous restyling initiatives aimed at satisfying more effectively and rapidly the legitimate expectations of the consumers and stakeholders.
